12 things to note when installing LED light strips
LED light strips are used in a wide range of areas. Different use spaces have different installation methods. When installing light strips, you need to pay attention to the following 10 points:
1. The ambient temperature of LED light strips is generally -25°c-45°c
2. The atmospheric environment quality of the space where LED light strips are used must not be lower than the national secondary standard.
3. Non-waterproof LED light strips are limited to indoor use, and the air humidity must not exceed 55%.
4. The IP65 waterproof light strip can resist the influence of atmospheric environment, but it can only withstand a small amount of water spray on the surface for a short period of time. It should not be used in an environment with a humidity exceeding 80% for a long time.
5. IP67 waterproof grade light strips can be used indoors and outdoors. They can withstand water pressure of 1 meter underwater for a short period of time, but the light strips need to be protected from external squeeze and damage from direct ultraviolet rays.
6. IP68 waterproof light strips can be used indoors and outdoors and can continuously withstand water pressure of 1 meter underwater. However, the product needs to be protected from external squeeze and direct ultraviolet damage.
7. In order to ensure the luminous effect of the LED light strip, the longest connection length of the light strip is usually 5 meters. For the IC constant current designed light strip, the connection length can be 10-30 meters, and cannot exceed the longest. The connection length will cause inconsistent brightness at the beginning and end of the light strip.
8. In order to ensure the life of the LED light strip and the reliability of the product, do not pull the light strip or the power cord with force during the installation process.
9. When installing, you need to pay attention to the positive and negative poles of the power cord of the light strip. Do not connect them incorrectly. The power output and product voltage must be consistent.
10. Choose a product with good stability for the power supply of the light strip to prevent current and voltage surges from damaging the light strip components due to unstable power supply.
11. In actual applications, the power supply needs to retain 20% margin to avoid damage to the light strip caused by synchronization after the power supply is overloaded.
12. The light strip will continue to emit heat during use, and the product must be used in a ventilated environment.
