How many meters of light strip can the LED light strip controller carry?
How many meters of light strip can the LED light strip controller carry?
How many meters of light strip the LED light strip controller can carry is related to the LED light strip and also to the LED controller. Let’s give an example to help you understand.
The usual way to describe an LED controller is how much power it has. Normally it is 2A per circuit, RGB means 6A in total for three circuits, 30W in the case of 5V, 72W in the case of 12V, 144W in the case of 24V, and so on.
The relationship with the light strip is that we need to look at the power of the lamp beads used in the light strip, and the other is how many lamp beads are there per 1 meter? The commonly used LED light strips on the market today are 30 lights per meter, and there are also 18 lights per meter and 60 lights per meter.
Most of the light strips produced by cross-border e-commerce companies are 18 lights per meter. A normal LED controller can connect about 20M of light strips with 18 lights per meter. If we connect a light strip with 30 lights per meter, we can probably connect 15M; if we connect a light strip with 60 lights per meter, we can only connect about 10M.
What are the ways to connect the LED light strip controller to the light strip?
After talking about how many meters of light strips the LED light strip controller can carry, by the way, let’s talk about the methods of connecting the LED light strip controller to the light strips. We can connect a single strip, or connect another one behind the light strip. For single connection, just connect the positive pole of the LED light strip to the positive pole of the LED light strip controller output line; connect another one behind the light strip. If the light strip is 5M, you want to connect 10M. Just connect another 5M strip to the back end of the LED light strip. Of course, some LED light strip controllers have two output lines. To connect to 10M, you only need to connect the LED light strip directly to the output line of the LED light strip controller.
