How to install recessed LED strip lights?

1. Prepare

When installing a linear light, you must first check the linear light, such as checking whether the surface of the light has been damaged by bumps, etc. It is best to turn on the power of the light and check whether the light can be used normally. Please prepare the installation tools before installation.

2. Turn off the switch

   The installation of linear lamps requires connecting the power cord, so before installing the lamps, you should pull down the main switch valve at home and operate it in a power outage environment to avoid electric shock accidents.

3. Slot

   First determine the installation location of the line light, then place the light trough in the pre-installation position and mark the size range of the trough with a marker. Generally, the length of the slot will be slightly larger than the length of the linear light, with a depth of 1cm and a width of 1.5cm. Next, use a cutter and other tools to create grooves in the drywall. When we cut the groove, we must not shake it to avoid cutting the groove crookedly. After the ceiling is grooved, we need to clean the slots.

4. Install the strip light

   When installing linear lights, we can cut the light trough of the linear light according to the shape of the trough. For example, the light trough at the corner of the trough should be cut at a 45-degree angle. We then placed the cut light trough into the drywall slot and secured the light trough with nails. Next, we attached the LED strip light to the light trough and placed the lampshade on the light trough. Next we connect the linear light drive wires and power wires together, and then connect the linear light wires to the drive wire connection port. Finally, glue the mesh on the scales on both sides of the light trough and cover it with putty.

1. Prepare the necessary props for installation, such as linear lights, power supplies, power cords, and glass glue.

2. Determine the installation position of the line light.

3. Connect the L-pillar of the embedded strip light and the N-pillar to the neutral wire.

4. Connect the positive pole of the power supply to the red wire, and the negative pole of the power supply to the black wire.

5. Use glass glue to fix the linear lamp.
